Tocumen Airport Guide
The Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is the largest and the most important airport in Panama. It is located in Tocumen and just 7 km from Panama City. The airport handles more than 8.5 million passengers each year and is an important connection point for flights to some of the most popular destinations in the world such as Paris, Toronto, Miami, Madrid, and Frankfurt.
Money and Communication
A bank and an ATM is located in the Departures area. Many public telephones, internet kiosks, and fax services are available at the airport. Wireless Internet is also available throughout the terminal.
Food and Shopping
Departures area houses a restaurant and cafe, and several snacks counters are located in the Arrivals hall. Several shops are also located inside the terminal building selling duty-free products.
Passengers with Disabilities
The facilities for the passengers with disabilities include wheelchairs assistance, adapted toilets, special telephones and reserved parking space.
The airport provides car parking for both, short and long stay. A parking area is located just opposite to the main terminal building near the arrivals and departures.
Counters of several car rental companies such as Avis, Alamo, Hertz, and Budget are located at the airport and can be found in the arrivals area.
