Popularly known as Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport, it is located at a distance of 9 Km from the city center is the only commercial Airport serving Beirut. The BEY airport is operated and managed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and serves as a primary hub for the following passenger and cargo airlines- Middle East Airlines, Trans Mediterranean Airways, Med Airways, and Wings of Lebanon. All the general upkeep and maintenance tasks such as cleaning the airport are handled by Middle East Airport Services.
